Driving support and communicating impact to donors for the Believe campaign
Believe – The Campaign for the University of Melbourne was the largest and most successful higher education fundraising campaign in Australian history, raising $1.165 billion to enable world-changing research, student support initiatives and major infrastructure projects.
The campaign received more than 73,000 individual gifts from 30,000 donors.
We worked with the University on numerous projects over the course of the Believe campaign, including work for the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Melbourne Foundation for Business and Economics over four consecutive years – to help communicate the transformational impact of scholarships and other priority areas – as well as working with the University’s Advancement team and the Vice-Chancellor’s office on a major suite of work to thank donors and help demonstrate the impact of their support.
Within this scope of work, we provided advice and technical expertise to the University to help execute their donor content strategy across major events and digital channels, including developing content for their website, social media channels and email campaigns. We provided expert advice on story angles, conducted interviews and filming with key donor and project recipients, and developed a plethora of compelling communications assets.
Since the completion of the Believe campaign, we have continued working with several Advancement teams across the University, most recently working to develop content for their flagship scholarship program, The Narrm Scholarship, along with work on numerous campaigns to thank current donors for their visionary support and to increase donor support for high-impact research programs.
